Messaging consent and compliance

Vantage, operated by Thrive Complete Fitness Systems, LLC (Thrive CFS). Effective August 16, 2026.

Vantage is a member-service platform used by fitness clubs. Membership advisors use it to send individual, human-written text messages to their own club's members about their membership. This page describes how consent works in this program, end to end. Every control below is enforced by the platform's software; none depends on staff remembering a rule.

Where numbers come from, and how consent is collected

Recipients are current members of the club. Their mobile number comes from their own membership record, collected when they joined the club. Texting consent is collected verbally, in person, at enrollment: club staff read the standard member consent script, which states what the SMS text messages are for, message frequency, that message and data rates may apply, and the STOP and HELP instructions. A member who declines is not texted. Clubs that prefer a written capture may additionally use the optional member contact consent form. Each club also warrants at onboarding that its membership agreement covers messaging consent; model language is at the bottom of this page. Nobody outside the club's current membership is ever messaged.

The first message always discloses

Before any conversation begins, the platform automatically appends identification, purpose, and opt-out instructions to the first message sent to a number. Advisors cannot skip or edit this. A first message renders like this:

Hi Jordan, it's Mark from Echelon Voorhees. Great seeing you Tuesday. Want me to save you a spot in the 6pm cycle class Thursday?

(Really me, not a robot. My job is helping you get the most out of the club. Reply STOP anytime and I won't text anymore.)

Sent from the club's dedicated local number · disclosure appended automatically, once per number

Message frequency and rates

Frequency varies; typically a few messages per month, only while the recipient is an active member. Message and data rates may apply.

The club-agreement standard

Every participating club's membership agreement must include consent language covering, at minimum: (1) consent to receive texts from the club or its staff regarding the member's membership, (2) disclosure that message and data rates may apply, and (3) the member's right to opt out. Clubs warrant this at onboarding. Model language a club may adopt verbatim:

“You may receive occasional texts from your membership advisor about your membership. Msg&data rates may apply; reply STOP to opt out.”
